At 25, when this single hit the charts, Michael was almost twice the age that he was when his first single was released (Got To Be There).
From the world's best selling album by the same name, Thriller had a superb horror video, and a short and frightening narration by Vincent Price near the end.
The song was also the inspiration for the infectious Commodore 64 computer game here in the UK called "Chiller" by Mastertronic!
