After her debut success with 'Holiday' earlier in 1984, Madonna stayed out of the top ten with 'Lucky Star', and flopped a little with 'Borderline', (which a year or so later was a huge hit in 1986). The title track from her forthcoming album 'Like A Virgin' zoomed up the charts to No.3 in the UK, and made us all sit back and take notice of this talented new artist.
