About
the Vinyl Single Covers Archive.
The
purpose of this website is to provide an illustrated and nostalgic
snapshot of an era when single vinyl records were a fun and
easy way to get music from our favourite bands or artists. The
main theme of the site is to explore the graphical content of
the sleeves above all else.
All
of the illustrations are taken from my own extensive collection
of vinyl singles, and will be added to over the course of time.
Remember that various copyrights exist for many of the
covers here, so please explore the website at your pleasure,
and leave the images where they are!

some
pages now have a five second audio clip, just to remind you
of how the song goes, as well as the sleeve cover, relative
information about the artist, recording, artwork and label.
Audio clips have been kept very short due to copyright infringement
purposes, and may be withdrawn at a later date should such problems
arise.
Navigation
of the site has been made simple by being predominantly contained
in the left pane of the pages in the majority of cases. Clicking
on a category will bring up artists placed there. Clicking on
the artist brings up their tracks menu - in the case there being
one track only, the cover will be displayed directly (note:
artists may have tracks in other directories). All covers
featured on this website appear in the 'Full List' section.
Minimum
screen size for best effect is 800x600. In case of viewing difficulties,
MSI explorer users should press F11.
If
you have questions regarding any of the material on these pages,
I will do my best to answer them via email.
